I see everyone on this thread seems pretty positive... but I'm a bit more pessimistic. I think we're going to see about 1/2 the entries of S2000's this season as we did last - and BS is going to be won by a 12-year old Porsche. Hmm... great job, SEB.
I was talking to an AS Vette Competitor yesterday, and none of them are coming back either... I think only Scott McHugh will be in a C4 this year. The Kozlak's will be running in thier 993 as well. I will run some events, and I know Steve (Windscreen) is coming out. We'll have to see how many others show up. Here's hoping!

I will make the big show. No doubts there. I also expect to bring along a 2-time champ as a co-driver.
I expect the participation to be down (around 35 drivers at Nationals) but I don't expect a decrease in competition. Overall, I expect the level of competition at the top to be increased in A Stock. A Stock might be the toughest trophy at Nationals this year. I expect at least 8 of the 21 trophy winners last year to return, including both champs (Jason, you'll make the big show!). With some new blood added, this will be tough.
I think we'll see some very anemic AS classes at Tours and Pros. I think it was the wrong decision. But I think it will work out OK.

Yea, I don't think participation in either AS or BS will be low this year based on what we're seeing so far. I was just a little dissappointed to see so few S2k's in the entry lists. My guess is quite a few people were thinking of moving on anyway and the BS-->AS move just nudged them over the fence.

What's interesting is that BS was weaker on the West Coast, and AS weaker on the East Coast... now it seems that AS is just as strong/stronger on the West, but we'll have to wait and see if it stays strong on the East.
Maybe I'm wrong!!! I sure hope so.

AS weaker on the East Coast...
[EDIT]Sorry for not following things a bit closer this offseason. I just re-read the tour web-site and realized that there will be a stop in Devens. Hopefully I can make that one[/EDIT]

I'm considering Devens too. Hope we get a good crowd for AS.
Speaking of the East...anybody going to step up and hold NEDIVs?
