Just a little curious. Did pretty much everyone quit when the S2k got moved from BS to AS this year? Who is running A-stock this year? I see almost no S2k's signed up for the coming tours, not even at San Diego.

I would never quit because of a little competition. I bet you'll find that hardly anyone quit.

There are typically 3 or 4 of us here in Phoenix that moved to A stock. There are even a few (one or two) s2000's signed up for El Paso. Don't know about San Diego.

I was looking at San Diego more than anything. In looking back at last years entries for BS, there were quite a few S2k's, so far there are very few this year. I'd still like the keep the S2k on my short list of future cars. I'd hate to see everyone go to other classes before we get to see really how well they can compete with the Vette's. (yea, I know, I could buy one and find out... ).

I have quit due to a combination of lack of funds and throat-slashing local club politics.

Easy fix for that. Just ignore them and concentrate on bigger events, that's what I do.

I may run some local events in AS, but most of the year I'll be in CMod

Rule changes moved me from ASP to BSP This is mainly with a few local clubs and I do it for fun and FTDs.

It's still pretty early to say for San Diego -- I bet a lot of people just haven't signed up yet. Ralph Elder's signed up already, but apparently he didn't get the memo about the S2000 moving to AS this year. I'm pretty sure Joe and Anna Goeke will be running their S2000. shaggy (Andy Howe) won't be driving his S2000, but that's just because he's not coming, period.
