I too run stock pads on the street, then Cobalts on the track. I bought a pair of the '04 OEM pads and will put those on this winter when I replace the rotors. I'm looking forward to seeing if I notice the performance increase, and as my wheels are black and silver, I could care less about the additional dusting...

If you go with those Hawks, prepare to destroy your rims with the dust.
And yes, the braking on the car is designed so that the fronts will apply more torque than the rears. It's done on purpose

I haven't replaced mine yet but will be going to Hawk HPS in the fronts and HPS Plus in the rear.
