BTW, John - if you need a hand or at least some advice with the rebuild, lemme know... I just did two S2k trans rebuilds earlier this year (it would have been one, but it turned out my reverse gear was bad).

Thanks Rev -- I might take you up on that! I've already had it fixed once under warranty; something tells me they're not going to go for it again 10K miles later.

Oh, and actually it's 6th gear that you eventually lose when you're grind 5th, so track days will still be doable. It's just the drive there and back that sucks. (At least I don't have gears to raise the revs even higher!)

Questions:

1. Passengers allowed in the red group? (non-race group)

2. Can we reserve a garage in advance?

3. What time does the gate open in the morning?

-Doug

Hopefully, the Viper guys will show up for this one....heh.heh.heh..

Ran here with the Porsches this weekend at a joint PCA/POC event. I liked this track a lot. The infield isn't boring like I've heard said, as you really have to be precise and fast through some tire-lined chicanes and corners, and the oval is different than any road-course and a big thrill every time going through NASCAR turns 1 and 2, esp. if you are passing someone. Definitely a must-do-at least-once track.

I'm going to try to make it. Depends on what time Thursday night the girlfriend's plane lands back here in Vegas.
