Park Plaza in Lancaster. Weekends are cheaper than weekdays because of a deal with the track.

Quick questions for the track junkies...

I am running on my 1st set R-compounds.. How long will the tire last if the tread just started touching the wear-mark bar.

Also, where can I get tires mounted near / in / at Willows?

What kind of tires? Are they new (shaved), or have they been worn down to this point?

Tires are P Zero Corsa's.... They were not shaved when new.

This one is not worn down to the bars but others are...

Can't help you with the Pirellis; not familiar with those.

Good thing they weren't Michelins...

I know it's a repost of a repost, but I couldn't resist

A typical 4/32" shave usually is down to the wear bars or lower (usually you don't see any of the original pattern, some of the wear bar), so you still have lots of tread and wear life but the traction may be going or far gone with the heatcycles. I would not be worried about cording these, just that they won't perform like fresh shaved tires.

BTW, Willow Springs tire shop at the track can mount tires. Otherwise there are shops in Rosamond that you should be able to find on the internet.

Slightly OT but I have a set of used/new (200 street miles) Cobalt GT-Sports that I can bring to the track for sale...

I would recommend VR spec for fast drivers but GT-Sports will be a huge improvement over the stock pads. PM me for details with special pricing.
