To me they look like they've got about 1/32nd to go before you get the most out of 'em. Laguna isn't as hard on tires as some other tracks and straight line freeway driving isn't going to kill 'em either.

What a GREAT track! wish I was out there making the trip

Hunter keep a close eye on the weather forecast. Bring an extra set of grooved tires just in case it rains. I drove up to BW this past weekend in the rain and I nearly crap my pants when it started to pour. I was hydroplaning at 40mph with 18 wheelers high beaming constantly.

next time get -behind- the 18 wheeler and follow in the dry spots. Those 18wheels move a lot of water off the road and usually gives you a plenty dry section of road to drive on.

Ask me how I know (more than once)

Okay, this morning I decided to go, and with the racecar. Swapped in the stock exhaust from the white car, but when installing the old slicks (out of RA1's) I discovered a badly cracked rear wheel rim . But Will is going to bail me out by loaning me one of his rear rims! (Thanks Will ), so I should be there Friday (assuming my trailer is okay when I go to pick it up tonight).

Just curious, anyone planning to stay the weekend with NASA? I'll finally be going out there for their event that weekend (in the M3 tho).

Ry, thanks for the offer to lend me your wheel also . I hope to stop at Will's shop on the way up to get it installed. I will be using one of my 17" wheels as a temporary to get the car on the trailer.
