where's a good affordable place to stay up there? a place with 2 queen beds hopefully. I used to stay at my friends up there but they have since sold the place and moved far and away.

note: since its friday, there may be heavy commuter traffic in the AM so you may want to leave earlier to the track than weekend events...then, again, since its the holiday it probably will be light...but since its a vaction destination it might be packed?

staying at the howard johnson place in monterey, heading up there with 2 friends and driving up both friday and saturday, pleading to the rain gods if it rains, have it rain only one day.
