However, I must admit there are just times that I don't feel up to putting the hitch on, pulling my tire trailer around, prepping the car at the event, etc. -Dave
It takes at most, 5 minutes for me to hook up the trailer. At the event site, changing tires and slapping the numbers on the car take maybe 15 minutes. Another 15 to change back to streets at the end of the day. For the extra 35 minutes, I'd much prefer to run on R-compounds!

[QUOTE=daverx7,Jul 27 2006, 12:17 PM]I would just like to be able to compete in a class that would allow me to drive up on my tires and still remain competitive like the folks that have cars that can fall into STS, STS2, STX, STU.

[QUOTE=daverx7,Aug 14 2006, 07:20 PM]... before then, I had to carrying all the tires from the basement (dodging cats, dogs, walls, etc.) and then having to hand drag/pull the trailer up hill from the back yard.

It will be interesting to see if you can be competitive on the 710s at the big events with no seat time with them all season.
That is a great question that should be considered. If it throws me off, then I'll have to add that to the list to go back to full race tires. With this year being just my 2nd year with the S, I bet I'll learn this pretty quickly.
