Default SCCA racing class for our car

I am planning to race scca here in tx. my car is gutted with a welded in cage. doesnt this put me into ITE?

Yup. There is a new ITR class coming down the pike someday but with a 3000lb minimum weight for the S2000 you'd have to put a lot of shit back in (like everything).

3k lbs is w/ or w/o driver? If it's w/ I would have to gut it quite a bit to get down to weight

3000 lbs with driver. Fastrack printed it for '07, so it will be a regional class. Honda Challenge weight is 2750 with driver.

AFAIK min weight for S2000 is 2700 with driver. +30 for cage going to front shock tower, +75 for BBK, +75 for reservoir shocks.

2.2L = extra 100lbs beyond the 2700lbs as well.....

I don't think so. Only a few IT cars do. I don't have time now to look it up.
