I personally think that I would have prefered the 02 this last weekend due to the gear ratio, I dont think the 04 has very good power in 3rd especially when going up hill. I think the 04 is an easier car to drive but the handling of the older car is better when you find that balance and dont go over the edge.
I dont know if the 245 will fit without rubbing on the front. Per the Hoosier specs the 245 is .4" wider than the 225 and with a 1/4" spacer on the front, the 225 barely rub the inner fender buttons. We ran the 235 v700 ecsta at Phx Nat Tour but the 225 S04 is actually just as wide but a little taller.

We've got the local class leader (S2KFUN) running 245 Kumhos on the front. On a 6.5" wheel it doesn't seem right but it's either the tire works better or the driver does. I'm voting for the hardware...

From what I've seen it's conceivable the 04 is neither better or worse than the 2.0 liter car (track dependant) and possibly should stay in B stock. I don't think I've seen anyone bring this up before and would make for some interesting discussion.

Per the April FasTrack:
Steve
Once the relevant classing decisions have been made, it is the intent of the SEB that all variants of the Honda S2000 will be in the same class, whether it is AS or BS.

Since that part of the decision is made (and it makes good sense to me), it's time to start thinking which class would be best. Obviously, for selfish reasons, I'd prefer BS
