Do you have any pictures of your interior and trunk to see what it looks like all gutted out?

My race car weighs 2440 with a 1/2 tank of gas (not including the passenger seat).

Hunterez - Thank you for that weight comparison. It's hard to find actual weight numbers for certain parts. I pretty much gave up on finding 100% accurate weights of aftermarket parts online. The only way to find out is knowing somebody that's done it, or doing it yourself to find out. Glad I didn't rush out and spend that money on side mirrors hoping for 15lbs

Nevsky - I am investigating that possibility right now. I am debating between the Spoon battery and the Feels battery. FWIW I believe you also have to change out the terminals because stock terminals are too large for the Spoon/Feels battery posts. Can anybody confirm/deny this? I will post an update on weight reduction when I decide on my battery and get everything put in. Will take pics later tonight of my trunk.

cthree - Nice S! Other than the cage, that might be a streetable setup for somebody like me. Well, time to go home and think about taking my interior out. Anybody looking to buy a MY00 black interior?

please tell me you're only streeting it occasionally, mostly to/from the track?

Krazik - Well mostly to and from the track, but also car shows and to work. Fortunately, I happen to work about .3 miles from my house on the same street I live on. I usually have to take the long way just to get the motor warmed up before I shut it off. I drive an Avalanche in the winter time, or if it rains.

sean2sean - What's the web site for the deka ext14 battery?

CKit - 6', 185 pounds, 8% body fat. I'm getting close, not quite at 2% yet lol.

There are much better ways to reduce weight on the S2000 and do it RIGHT rather than "dump tree hugging pieces of shit" like the cat.

This receipe from "toofast4yall" is basically good for cars that can be driven to and from....the track. Thats it.

Additionally, I believe that saying that dropping 1 pound of rotational weight is equal to dropping 4 pounds of dead weight is a GROSS exaggeration. It should be more like 1.5 to 2 times.
