I've just sat and read all of this. I earlier gutted all the plastics apart from dash and the above plastics to the sun visors. Over the weekend I'll be tackling the hood and A/C if I can find a belt.

idk if this is dead or not! but can you just run an a/c delete belt, with the compressor still in place. that'll take strain off the engine, therefore helping with power/weight ratio... no?

I don't think thatll make that much difference if any. When your A/C isnt running the clutch on the compressor isnt engaged so the pulley is just freewheeling. I don't think eliminating the freewheeling pulley is gonna do anything more.

Earlier in the thread someone mentioned that the stock exhaust was over 60#s.
I just removed and weighed mine. It's 51 pounds. I even used a second scale to confirm and got the exact same number.
