I don't know what regs you're running to, but removing the entire soft top assembly and sticking a hard top on (like the CR) not only loses weight but slightly increases stiffness.
If you just removed the power to the soft top, you'll need to either use the tonneau which isn't light, or find another way to manually secure the top down.

Alright, I guess I'll just stick with the original plan and go with a hard top. I've been debating about getting the Spoon hard top ever since I bought my car. Time to bite the bullet I guess

I'm going to start removing the interior this week. It's been headed this direction for awhile, so I finally decided to make it a full race car. CSN motorsports and Mead Engineering (the shop I work at) will be doing most of the work. Mike Rush is going to build me a motor. The last one he built put down 345whp NA with only mild head work. I'm going with full head work, so we'll see what kind of numbers I can put down.

GRUNTS2K - Haha yea I know. The car was becoming more and more of a track car every day. I finally decided to turn it into just a track car. I removed the carpet, but for now the center console and door panels are still on.
