Singapore is the best place on earth Do you know Norman with the blue S2000?

HI MB,

Sorry for the late reply. I was in india and just got back today!

Yes you are right. NACA duct would have worked nicely. I was looking at the various off shelf airboxes available and had a discussion with Simon from Reverie regarding the size of the airboxes. Years ago, i lost power with airboxes and never used them again after testing them on the dyno. This time round, i had no choice due to the heat soak. So, i was looking for the biggest airbox to simulate an atmospheric condition. In the end, i thought, why not curve the ram pipes upwards and have a ram airbox instead? So i looked through the reverie catalogue and found the combination. The airbox only arrived a few days before the final time attack event. I only dynoed the car 2days before the final time attack and the results shocked me. I actually made more power with the airbox on!

However, the ram air does affect the distribution of airflow to the 4 cylinders from the plug readings. So, i'll have to do more test to tweak the setup moving forward.

Yes i know norman. We were competing in the same class. Met up with him on several occasions in the past too!
