He recovered (to my knowledge), and managed to set the Street Tire record in an S2000 at WSIR last year.

^^ he was in a full body cast.. and shortly after sold his s2000 later as well. ive actually been in a low speed roll over which landed on the roof. i was lucky to come out unscratched.. the car was completely stock. the scary part was that the stock roll hoops never touched the ground.. the windshield and the top corner of the trunk held the car up.. the windsheild slowly gave way from the weight of the car. this is why a roll bar is soo important in these cars. the stock roll hoops wont really do anything for someone over 5'5"

Another serious question: What are the risks of injury caused by this roll bar in an accident (non-roll over) on the street (meaning no helmet, but stock seats or racing bucket)?
I've read people say there are risks of injuring ones head on the roll bar. I want to know for sure that I am not _increasing_ my risk of injury by installing this and removing the stock roll hoops. Thanks.

any aftermarket equipment can increase the risk of injury. no item can guaranty to protect the buyer from injury or death. all of our products are intended for off road use and used with all proper saftey components neccessary. that obligation is left to the buyer. this item may not be suitable for everyone. it is also the buyers obligation to decide if our parts are suitable for their needs.

My suggestion is to wrap the bar in SFI padding, followed by a much softer foam pad.

i am 6 foot as well.. it really depends on how low your seats sit. i personally feel that the bar is far enough from my head that im not worried about the issue. the bar does sit a few inches BEHIND the seat. i think it would be a slim chance an issue would happen, but anything is possible.
ive been running a roll bar in my daily s2000 for a long time now, but thats my opinion.
