Thanks

Sounds like I'll start with the hankooks then and try out other tires from there.

I have a quick q for those of you running 225/255 Dunlops. Are you guys seeing noticeably less understeering/more oversteer? I was looking to get 215/255, since I expect 215 Dunlop to be a bit wider that the 050. But I also wanted to hear your experiences

I got an alignment before WSIR this weekend and I ended up at -3 front, -3.2 rear. The tire wear looks MUCH better than before. No sidewall wear, and tread blocks wore evenly. I may go to -3.2 front and rear for now on.

Edit: I am stock camber bolts with no other suspension modifications other than KWV3's.
wow that's a lot of camber on stock bolts. are you at stock height or something?

The lower you go the more camber that can be had.

when I ran that on oem 2001 suspension I found the car very well behaved. Little to no undetrsteer, and with the right alignment, very manageable oversteer. I even had enough grip to lift an inside rear tire at times.

Great, thanks for your input! I'm on stock AP2 suspension and I just want beefier tires all around keeping stock balance.

youll like the 225/255 setup then. its much more neutral with some under for margin of safety. but you also can get the rear to come out.

I'm fairly positive you don't have enough caster to achieve that kind of camber. Get some camber bolts so your steering isn't so dull.

And if you have more than 6.5+ degrees of caster in the front, I am amazed. How did you do at WSIR? lap times?

What's enough caster? is 5 enough? That's what I'm running.
