RS-3 vs Z1SS vs 595 RS-R vs RE-11 vs Z2 vs Rivals

The RE070's sidewall, IMO, is stiffer and more communicative than any other street tire I've tried, but the grip itself is not on par with the current batch of street tires. The RS3 and Z1SS are both significantly stickier.
I went through a few sets of RE070 on the CR, as well as on a STI in the past.

R-S3's in the rain on the track did not serve me well. If it wasn't for VSA, I would've went off so many times. I was being as smooth as I could on the steering, braking, and throttle as possible. So if you happen to be running on a rainy day, I wouuld consider another option.

Great write up!!!
I would suggest testing the Michelin Pilot Super Sports. Ive had AD07 and Z1SS and the PSS have more grip. They feel like they have softer side walls, but Ive noticed they support better when flat. (had a flat with the Z1ss, replaced with PSS and they didnt screw the valve stem and noticed the PSS had better support with 0 psi).
The PSS is supposed to be great in the rain and have longer wear on the track and road.
I would love to see you compare the PSS to the other tires.

I really appreciate the feedback, but at 300TW, I don't believe the Michelin Pilot Super Sport would be competitive with the type of tires we are testing here, as these are the "stickiest street tires" available, and all are rated between 140 and 220TW by their respective manufacturers (yes, I am aware the number can't really be compared across brands).
I do have some experience with Pilot Sport PS2s (albeit on other cars) and have a very favorable impression of that tire as a daily driver tire.

Understood... As you noted the TW Rating is not very accurate.
Michelin has designed these to be almost PS Cups in terms of grip. I feel they have more grip than z1SS, Ive had two sets.
I am pushing Tire Rack to compare the PSS to the Extreme Tires. Also, they are less than the RE11s.

I must say this has been an interesting read. I have zero experience with any of the tires. Hasn't driven on street tires for a long time. I just bought a star spec because of this review. So thanks!

At some point this coming week I should finally have my RS3s on my wheels and on my car so I can see how they compared to the Star Specs I had on my previous s2k.
My s2k is also soon not going to have to be my daily driver so all the concern I had over the RS3s not being as good in the rain or lasting as long will probably go out the window.
