Roll Cage while still keeping OEM softtop

Ed,
I would go with the HardDog...it's super solid. Here's some install pics
Tear Down: http://picasaweb.google.com/filip.craciun/RollBarPrep
Install: http://picasaweb.google.com/filip.craciun/RollBar02
Highlights:
Word of warning: the directions for the HardDog bar are wrong...because there is so little wiggle room for proper placement of the front reinforcement plates, they should be drilled for and secured first BEFORE you drill for and secure the rear plates...learned that the hard way and had to re-drill the rear holes (luckily it was only off by a few millimeters, but was still a huge PITA)
Oh, and the HardDog bar weighs around 45 lbs (depending on the configuration)...the stock roll hoops with all trim pieces weigh 46 lbs.

hey thats great to know thanks I was thinking I'd have to take the top out or do an exhaust to make weight with one

Kinchu - Did you seal inside the rear wheel well after you cut to place the mounting plates? From the picture gallery it looks like you sprayed undercoating but didn't do anything about the gaping hole you cut.
When installing mine I filled that hole with expanding foam, cut it even with the wheel well, and then sealed with around 7 coats of undercoating (enough to where you couldn't see the pores of the foam).
I too recommend the hard dog. It's a quality piece and you can keep the interior if you have the patience to trim interior pieces to fit around the bar.

When speaking with hard dog over the phone they recommended the expanding foam/undercoating. Even if there is a drain hole at the bottom I feel better keeping as much out of that space as possible.
I don't remember seeing a drain hole either. I can't imagine why there would need to be a drain hole there. Before installing the cage that's completely sealed IIRC.
