Default Removing front fender liners

Other than the obvious problem of dents in your front fenders (from flying rocks) what are the other disadvantages (if any) to removing the fender liners?

Only asking because I need to remove them for some work I'm doing, and I'm just considering whether it's worth bothering to put them back in

If you race autocross in bs or str it's illegal. If it's mod class or track racing idk.

I found water ingress problems around the headlights.

Also there is some wiring that becomes exposed without the liners.

Yes, it's worth bothering to put them back on for a pleasant drive and to keep your sanity IMHO.

Yep, that's what I was wondering. Although, a lot of the aftermarket wide front fenders don't have the option of using a fender liner, so I'm not sure

Yeah, I got a couple rock dents right away. Fixed that with some gorilla tape on the inside and spray coating. I also had to resplice the headlight connector wires after they were severed by the tires. I ended up zip tieing them down and away from the tire.
