Here are the updated times from today's practice sessions:

The current track record is held by AMS from last year with a 1:03.5..

Considering the weather conditions today (cool, raining, drizzly, damp, etc.), I'd expect the times to improve a decent bit tomorrow.

Also, here is a good interview with Matt Andrews, driver of the RobiSpec sponsored Mazda Miata in Modified RWD Division

Thanks Alex. I blew 3rd gear Saturday morning. Still managed to put down the fastest RWD in the timed sessions for a Mod RWD win. With 3rd gear, I think I would have given the fast evo's a run for their money on that track...

Good to see the S2k's out there. Looked like you were having fun...

That RobiSpec Miata was amazingly quick. Knowing that it was without 3rd, which I'm assuming is a pretty useable gear around that track makes it even more impressive.

I wish I could have had some more time behind some of the S2000s around the track, as it sounds like you guys were hitting speeds of 10-15mph faster on the straight than I was...could have maybe helped kick me a bit farther up on the time sheets.

It was an awfully fun event, but I wasn't used to all the people, or the attention that our cars were getting. That made things pretty cool and a definite change of pace from the normal track day events where I'm just a slow FF 4-banger.

I forgot you post here. That was a really nice looking DC5. And really appeard to be moving. After spending a season in one last year, I have a lot of respect for those cars. Too bad what happened to the silver one in Modified. I was near the wall when he tagged it. the whole thing moved.
