i don't think he means you should use stock pads. i think he means you should use stock size pads. not saying that xp12 pads you have are not stock thickness. but you need to measure the thickness of the xp12 pads you have and compare them to stock pads. i'm sure someone on here knows what the stock pads thickness is.

it states that they use NSX rotors and are 298x28mm

i looked through my documents and found that the Hawk DTC60 and DTC70 pads i used were 15.7mm new, i remember they were exact thickness as oem. with both oem shims, that would take up about another 1.5mm. i've installed new pads many time and don't remember oem pads and shims being that tight on oem calipers and rotors. so if you remove the shims, that should give you 1.5mm and the extra play in the caliper would allow you to make up the other 1.5mm for the total difference of 3mm.

The Carbotech pads are thicker than OEM, I believe. Don't quote me but from my experience this is just what I've seen

I've seen this as well. But not that much but enough for where I can't put shims on carbotechs

I didn't even use the shims on the carbotechs and the caliper wouldn't even fit on.

I don't understand why RB isn't manning up to the confusion on the website you ordered from. This is a simple fix. Send him the proper rotors, fix the wording on the goddamn site, and show us you're willing to take care of customers.
