Bump, just to keep this on the radar until the Group Buy closes this coming Friday, 12/2. I'll try to get updated counts (and information on the currently applicable discount) from David in the next few days.

Best,
CB

I've dropped an inquiry to Race Technologies, but I've yet to hear back. Based on the number of orders, I'm pretty sure we're into the 15% discount and likely into the 20% discount on the DL-1. I don't know about the Dash1 or 2 displays. In any case, I'll post as soon as I get an official count from the company.

Talking

Just fyi, but at the close of business last week (Friday, 25 November), the number of units ordered under this Group Buy (which is cross-listed on EliseTalk, MiataNet, NSXPrime, the SCCA forums, and through the Pacific NW PCA and BMW Instructors Roster) were (i) DL1 - 7 units sold, (ii) Dash1 - 2 units sold, and (iii) Dash2 - 1 unit sold. Thus, the applicable discounts (as of the end of LAST week) were:

** DL1: 15% off (worth $145 in savings)
** Dash1: 10% off (worth $67 in savings)
** Dash2: 10% off (worth $97 in savings)

This Group Buy ends this COMING weekend, so there is a strong likelihood that we'll wind up with a 20% discount on the DL-1 and a 15% discount on the Dash1 and Dash2 displays. In short, if you're in the market for a datalogger, now is a great time to get on board. You won't see these prices again any time soon.

This is a top of the line system. But I was wondering for someone like me that goes to the track maybe twice a year. All I want is something that will give me my lap times on a display so I can monitor where I am having troubles. I was thinking more in the the $300 dollar range.
Sorry to hi-jack thread.

Jeffxyan, my "take" on this is that you'll get 10% of the value from a system that costs roughly 40% as much by buying a laptimer instead of a datalogger. I've used lap timers (not often, but often enough to feel confident in saying this). While it's nice to know how fast you've gone (and to have some basis for measuring yourself against the laptimes of others), there's very little diagnostic value to them, as there's too much noise surrounding how well you do in any given corner to figure out where you're gaining or losing time from one lap to another. So, if you're not sure you're ready for this, you might want to wait to buy anything and then see how you feel in a year. I'm not knocking lap timers, but I concluded it's a false economy to buy one. My two cents, others may think differently.
