Also, at the risk of stating the obvious, if you're going racing, buy a seat that's legal for racing. For example, the Bride GIAS seat mentioned above would be illegal in SCCA club racing since it has a separate reclining backrest.

1. Sparco EVO
2. 31
3. 5'7"
4. 151lbs. Athletic build
My seat is very comfortable. I used Cobras in my previous cars and I am happier with my Sparco(more comfortable and seems to have better quality). The seat is permanently mounted with Sparco aluminum brackets. It is very tight to get out of my car with the hard top(in an emergency situation when unable to open the door) so I refuse to use a seat with the "head wings". I had the Cobra with those in my Civic and during an emergency escape I got stuck with my Hans. I will NEVER use one of those again.

1) Bride Vios III with Bride rail (not FIA approved)
2) 33
3) 5'10"
4) 40 suit
Seat fits perfectly in the car and I fit perfectly in the seat. Love it. Bought a $7 headrest this past weekend at the local autoparts store and the seat is even more comfortable for daily driving.

I'm also contemplating getting a seat with a head-restraining halo, but a fellow racer pointed out something that gave me pause -- if you have a halo seat and are wearing a HANS device, you're going to have a heck of a time getting out of the car in a hurry if you ever have to.

It's not quite the same thing, but a right side net will give you some head restraint without being an impediment to exiting the car. I've got one, and you don't notice it at all while driving; I'm actually contemplating installing a left right-side net, if that makes any sense.
P.S. - Why the insistence on feedback from road racers? Planning on going wheel-to-wheel yourself?

Bride Vios III low max
33-34 waist
6-1
165lbs (skinny athletic build - asian)
I have pads to make the seat tighter for track days but these fit me pretty well.
