R888 on an occasional street driver
OK guys, need some help here.
It's time for some new tires and I'm thinking of going with R888's. The car is a second car for me and sees some occasional weekend driving, both highway and city.
I autocross a few times a year and am considering some HPDE events.
Does anyone have any experience with these tires, or something similar, in these conditions that they can comment on?
Thanks in advance for your input.

I've been using the older RA1's for a little under a year now for driving to/from autocrosses.
Am I understanding correct that these will be your ONLY set of tires? If so, I'd get something else (Bridgestone RE-01R is a good compromise for both street driving and track driving). If you have a spare set of wheels to put these on and then just swap wheels before autocross/track days, they would be perfectly fine.
Just be cautious in any rain. I had a fun 50 mile interstate drive a few weeks ago on my tires, which are more or less bald. Scariest driving ever. . .
