Questions about adjustable sway bar end links

The McMaster-Carr endlinks, when adjusted to their shortest, are still longer than the stock front endlinks by about 1.3 cm. Should I cut the male end shorter (this could make the endlink about 1 cm shorter max., so still longer than stock), or is it fine to use it longer than stock. I'm wondering if the higher position of the end of endlink and swaybar might rub the shock (but I don't have my shock in to see if it clears ).

They clear no problem with my JIC's, I have the Comptech Adj bar also. There seems to be plenty of room however.

disconnect BOTH endlinks before installing the MC ones. Once they are both disconnected the sway bar will move freely. The length of the endlinks shouldn't be a problem. just adjust the bar to the correct angle and attach. I just did the rears a couple hours ago and you are correct, you won't be able to install the MC links with one of the stock ones still installed. Remove both, no problemo.
They require no more clearance than the stock endlinks so if the stocks work so will the MC. They might actually require less room as the ball joints aren't as bulky.

Has anyone else worn out the McMaster-Carr Ball Joints yet? I've had mine for about 3 years and 20k miles with lots of of track days and now they're rattling heavily. I've been using the Comptech Adjustable bar on the softest setting. You can shake the sway bar when the car is lifted and see that the ball joints on both the male and female side are loose on both sides of the car. I have a feeling mine wore out much quicker because of all the street driving I did. Smooth track surfaces probably don't "shock" the ball joints as much.
I've sourced out equivalent sized Rod Ends from Aurora but I still need to find out the price and where to buy them. Hopefully they'll last longer than the McMaster Ones. The Part number is SPM-6-S for the male and SPW-6-S for the female. The "S" at the end is for the studded version of the rod ends. You can find the catalog at http://www.aurorabearing.com/index.html

well i know this is old, but its better than starting a new thread.
so do using these parts make the endlink longer than the stock one? my car is lowered so im looking to return the endlink to its original position as it seems smushed from the lowering. i dont know if that is the correct thing to do, but it seems so to me. (correct me if im wrong)
