Planning on Lapping day. Project Mu Brake Pads.
Hi all.
I'm planning to do a big track day this coming summer, and i'm currently running Centric Blanks and Project Mu NS400 pads all around. I was thinking of getting new front rotors and some Project MU HC800 front brake pads, but leaving the rear NS400 pads on.
Just wondering if thats a good idea or if that will be fine. Or is switching to the HC800 pads front and back better. My NS400 pads are about 2 years old, but i only drive in the summer. And it would save me some money if i just got the fronts.
Let me know, i rather be safe than sorry.

If its your first track day. Just use what you currently have as long as they have at least 60% of life left. Change your brake fluid and make sure tires and suspension are OK.
More than likely you won't be pushing the car to hard on first day.

For a first track day I'd say you don't need the club racers but a set of HC+800s would be good. I really like mine and for moderate track / beginner use they should be just fine.

If you really want to, put a set of either Club Racers or HC800+ up front. But the NS400 will be just fine in the rear.
(I've tracked with the Club Racer front and rear setup, and the Club Racer front, NS400 rear setup)

This will be my second time at this track, and my second time ever at a big track. The first time I was here I didn't push it to hard, but I am trying to get faster this time.
I may have to pickup either the clubracer pads or the 800 for the front.

My advice is to always bring more brake pad then you think you will need, because you never want to waste an expensive track day by not bringing enough. If you are definitely purchasing brake pads, then I would go with a track only pad. Then you can continue to run your current pads on the street if you want to.
