He died yesterday when is single engine plane went down in Socal.
We've lost a great guy and great racer. He was on the way to the top in Speed GT.

For those of you that didn't know him, Paul was not just a very talented driver, but also a great guy. I first met him at Viper Days, Buttonwillow a year and half ago. He was very modest about his skill and always helpful to us rookies (he was a Viper Days instructor).
I remember that first weekend watching Paul jump into Johnny Yuma's Viper for the VRL race. People were kidding Johnny (after Paul passed Rob Foster for 1st)... "hey Johny how did you get so fast all of a sudden." Johnny replies "well I knew I had a good car, I just replaced the part that wasn't so good with something(Paul) better."
Paul never refused to close down a bar with the Viper Days drivers foolish enough to hang with Courtney. Knowing full well that no matter how much of a hangover he might have the following morning, all he needed was a couple of laps to best anyone's times.
I was really looking forward to watching him kick a** next season in Speed GT. I liked the look on Pobst's and Auberlin's faces on the podium... "who is this guy?"
God bless you PMUM. We all miss ya.
