Default Panther XP brake pads

Does anyone have experience with panther XP pads. It seems lots of guys have experience with the panther plus pads(including myself). I am about to order more front pads for the track. My experience with the panther plus has been good so far. How about other pads for the track?

I have used the XP's and found that I like the P+ better. The XP's have more friction but only when very hot (and are poor when cold), and I think they wear faster.

...and the rivets shred your rotors like nothing else.

Yes, it does take a while to get the XP's up to temp, but they work great once they are in there operational range. Personally, I think the P+ are better pad all around, especially if you are lazy and don't want to yank the pads for the drive home.

As Jerry mentioned, the C-tech pads are manufactured with rivets. Not a problem under ideal conditions (proper bedding and changing, good rotor surfaces, etc.), but if you ever get lazy or end up in a pinch you could suffer both chewed up rotors AND pads. For example:

If you're going to an agressive compound, you might experiment with the Cobalt GTR/ITR combo, which are not riveted. They're in the S2Ki store, and are only slightly more expensive (but offer extremely long life). Just a thought.

The actual statistics are not on the Carbotech site, but from my understanding, they have a higher upper end in the operating temperature range.

I am going to be testing out the XP 1109/front XP 1108/rear combination in September at CMP. I'll let you know how it goes.
