It was actually quite fun. Lots of "rubbin" and "passin"... maybe those NeckCar boyz have something...

Could you draft? At K1 Speed there is a lot of bumping and passing too.

Say, at these SV events is there any instruction/coaching available? Or is it pretty much, "there's the track, have fun"?

For first timers, instruction is MANDATORY. There's a classroom session, and an individual instructor as well. It's not like racing school instruction, but they'll make sure you know how to be safe, and the other fundamentals of driving on a racetrack. Instruction is also available to anyone else who wants it. (There's a $30 charge if you request/need it, but there are lots of folks who are happy to give you pointers for free, if you're not a complete newbie.)
I'd never driven on a racetrack before my first SV event, and I've never received any other kind of instruction besides what I've picked up there. You don't necessarily have to spend $3500 at a driving school to learn to do this fairly well.

Anyway, I was curious about the SV approach. So how do they handle experienced drivers who have never been to that track before? Send someone out to show them the line and give a few pointers? Or is that something you just kind of do by hooking up with other folks in the paddock?
