i have tried to find affordable rotors, too
the best i found for OEM is $180/pair
the best blanks i found is $99/pair
slotted rotors r okay, but not cross drilled
there r some medium price rotors you can consider would be stoptech ($180), DBA ($260/pair) etc
the ultimate way to save rotors is still cooling
i found my rotors last 3 times longer from removing front dust shield and i still always do cool down driving after tracking or canyoning
but i do wrap heat tape around my ball joint prevent over heat the grease
my OEM rotors last me 8 track days and lots of canyon driving

Trust me, I'm skeptical as well. I asked the same questions, and they kept telling me I would keep getting replacements.
Honestly, at $70 each, I'm not concerned with the warranty being honored.

I run Hawk DTC 70 in the front which is a very aggressive pad. I replace the rotors with each set of pads which works out to be about every other national weekend(race weekends with 1 20 min. practice session, 1 20 min. qualifying session, 1 20 min warmup, and a 40 min race). We are not allowed to run brake ducts and build up a good amount of heat. We change the pads due to wear and the strict maintainence protocal we have , and the rotors do not appear heat cracked. I have reused some of the worn rotors for double regionals and have had "normal" wear without cracking. We are braking at the limit every corner every lap on every session except the warmup. For track day use, I think they will hold up very well without cracking.
