If you look at the dimensions they show on the website, the 888 225/50 is 10mm wider than the RA1 225/50 (on the same rim). The RA1 245/45 is listed as being another 10mm wider than the 888 225/50, but that's on a rim one inch wider. Looks like the 888 225/50 is closer in tread size to the RA1 245/45 than it is to the RA1 225/50.

I would guess that if they decide to export to NA, the available sizes may change anyway.
