Good point, rubbing might only happen with full tread, plus extreme suspension travel, plus steering lock. Mine don't rub any more, but I don't know if that's due to the fender liner surgery or the tires wearing down, or the increased negative camber up front. Or all of the above.
No, no big front bar for me. Like I said above, my car has always tended towards understeer unless really provoked, so it feels pretty good on these tires on a road course. If I autocrossed, I might need to get a bar.

I'm going to go with the 235/275 combo, but I won't have the rims/tires until the 1st or 2nd week of Nov. I did a quick calculation, and it looks like the stagger in tire width for this setup is approx 1.58". That's a bit bigger that the stock stagger, isn't it?
Won't that mean I'll have more grip in the back (vis-a-vis stock setup), and thus tend toward understeer? So maybe the Saner bar will be overkill with this setup. Or will the camber settings offset the larger stagger? Just trying to get an idea of what to expect.
As is, my car is prone to oversteer (or maybe it's just the driver, never can tell).
rlaifatt - I think I read you were going to run 235/275 combo, can you post your impressions afterward? thx

Don't forget the tread pattern difference with the OEM tires, which effectively puts more rubber to the road in the rear than the front. I think of the OEM setup as 25% more in the rear.
Also, what will putting a 275 tire on a 9" rim do to the contact patch?

9" rim is at the low end of the recommended range for the 275, but in the range. The tire surface looks flat and contact normal. It' actually not much wider than the 255, 0.7" more than the 255 RA1 and even less of a difference compared to the 255 Michelin PSC's. With all four tires mounted on CE28n's and stacked in my garage, the stack of 235+275 RA1's is only about an inch taller than the stack of 225+255 Michelins.

The 235/45/17 275/40/17 combo on the CE28Ns worked great. Bitterman ran very fast times (1:50.5) in my car, and no significant rubbing. All I could see at the end of the weekend was a little rubber stuck to the edge of the plastic liner in the left front well, and it easily peeled off leaving no visible evidence of rubbing. This could have happened in my off track excursions (including getting stuck in a ditch ). (What I earlier thought was some rubbing in the rear on a bump exiting turn 2 was actually the hose to the external JRZ reservoir rubbing against the hole in the trunk on compression.) And the balance and stick of the tires were great, so for this combo.
Just so you have complete info, tires were shaved to 3/32", had JRZs with 1/2" drop, and Comptech adjustable bar set at #2 hole from soft.

On closer inspection while cleaning the car today I could see that there was some rubbing in the front outer edge against the plastic liner, but not significant. Should have also noted that camber was -1.8 front and -2.6 rear.
