Naturally Aspirated S2K - 1:29 Lap at WSIR Video
I finally did it. I got that 100.1 mph average lap around WSIR.
Some of you might remember my thread from last December where I did a 1:30.8. I went back in March in warmer weather and was able to get down to a 1:30.6. I was there again this past Saturday for the S2K Challenge finale and became the first naturally aspirated S2000 to break into the 1:29s. This is unofficial since there isn't really a record kept of N/A cars, but it is a new S2K Challenge Mod class record.
This was one if my biggest personal goals for 2013. I worked hard to get faster all year with minimal changes to the car. While probably an small feat to most, it was something I was determined to do.
Here's the video of my 1:29.876 lap at Big Willow. Hope you enjoy!

Thanks everyone!
1:28s!? Haha not sure yet. Maybe refine the aero, new suspension, N/A tune, etc. I need to get faster in my car at Buttonwillow. Seems like a mid 1:58 is slow now days It would be nice to put aside my competitive spirit and just enjoy some driving next year, but I might have a hard time fighting the urge to compete. We shall see!
