My fourth event at Thunderhill this Sunday
Hello guys. I know it's another alignment question...I did search, but didn't come up with anything that felt satisfactory.
I have a bone stock AP1 with Hankook RS3. I'm pretty chicken about the rearend kicking out on me because it happened on my second event(turn 13 I believe) and it put me in my place. So what alignment specs would you recommend for me to decrease the tail happiness and overall make it more aggressive? The car is not a daily driver so not too worried about alignment specs.
I will be going this Wednesday for the alignment so anything helps...

Here is what I would try first.
Camber: Max front (I think is -1.5 to-1.8 on stock adjusters at stock height) , -2.8ish or more rear or as much as you can get if it is below -2.8.
Toe: 0 front, 3/16" total toe-in in the rear
Caster: 6.5 degrees or more up front
The alignment will help a little with stability but it is really just a small piece of the puzzle. Slowing your hands down and learning how to drive smoothly will help keep the car in check much better than any modification.
On a side note, I was standing right there by the wall where (Im pretty sure it was you) spun coming out of 13 and went up the grass hill backwards in the last session of the day Ill be out there this Sunday with a few others on this forum for Chrono series. Ill make sure to stop by and say hi!

Yea that was me..350z was on my tail...lol. I'll definitely follow your guidelines. The 6.5 up front I'm assuming is the caster correct?
See you Sunday. Did you ever end up selling your TR motorsport rims? I should have just bought them from ya, but my buddy kept saying, roll stock for now with the RS3s. It was an inexpensive upgrade that would have helped keep that 350z at bay.

Last year I was running my stock AP1 on RS3. I had max front (-1.8) and max rear (-2.2) camber. 5/32" total toe in rear. 6 caster. I thought it handled great. The tires needed way more camber though...

Are you using standard AP1 tire sizes on AP1 wheels? The rear end will kick out in any bone stock S2000. I definitely wouldn't change the alignment until you have got a good handle on the car as is. The tires can absolutely make use of more camber (it seems that this is even more the case with RS3s). Your alignment all comes down to your tire sizes though.

the car has AP1 rims with AP1 tire specs.
I'm sure there were multiple reasons for losing it there. I'm a complete noob, going from 2 to 3rd shift, herky jerky driving, had my left wheel on the blue and white corner thangies, tire pressure way too high and so on.
