My First Autocross
#1
I ran in my first event this past Sunday and man what a blast! Driving on a course really makes me appreciate the limits of the S2000 and also provides sobering commentary about driving like a fool on the street. Life lessons aside, the people there were really cool and helpful. There were instructors aplenty who walked the course with me and sat with me on my first couple of runs. My time slips were rather high, but I did manage to meet my only two goals for the day--crack the 70 sec range and have fun (especially the latter goal). There were two other S2000 there and an Integra Type R. One S2000 pulled consistent upper 60 sec times. The other S and the R both ran consistent mid 70 sec times. For those of you who haven't run in an event, I highly recommend it. It's one of the few times that you get to legally drive your S2000 at its limits and yours. I can't wait for the next event.

lots of fun, but only 3 runs here for $20, plus it takes about 3 hours of time..drive there, register, run 3 times, volenteer as cone-boy..drive home... I am in for 3+ hours and I only live 10 miles from the site.
too much time for sooo little driving...but the driving is a blast!
