This is True. I have done this. I changed my control arms and tightened them at full drop, didnt realize the preload issue. It changed my suspension height, camber and all. I would loosen everything and put full loads on each corner then retighten.
If your still off, break out the sledge hammer and give it some wacks.

Does this happen on both upper and lower a arm or just the bottom?
