Also, melting the seals is hardly a valid point of measure. I have my original seals and boots on my 00 model. One boot is cracked (old) but there are no signs of melt. I've used Cobalt, R4 and R4S pads in the 4 years I've had my original capiper boots, no ducting, no changes to shielding (100% OE stock). I can only think you had some problem with your older car.

So the ducts will possibly only help on hot days at Thill and Laguna, but anyway they will make my car look more like a serious track car .
