craziest thing about the 430 scuderia's carbon brakes are, the rotors seem to weigh less than the brake pads.

Hey there! I met you at Thunderhill last sunday, I had the white ap2 with the black wheels. Are you sure you want xp8 up front? XP 10 might be a more appropriate front pad for you.

Thought about that but Im scared the 10's won't heat up quick enough on the streets.

Do the xp10's squeel more than the 8's? Thats another concern.

Ive never tried xp10 up front but I have tried RP2. Any of carbotechs pads will have great cold bite for street driving. My RP2 had at least as much cold bite as my street pads when it was 40 degrees out (Carbotechs could activate ABS from the first stop) . Ive also heard xp10 dont make too much noise on the street as long as the pads are bedded in properly. What pads did you have at Thunderhill?

Even cold, they still have more bite than any street pad you can buy. Once they're properly bedded, they make minimal noise.

Great rotors, but I can't afford to replace them that frequently! I'm back to OEM rotors (until they crack, at least) , and just had brake ducts installed last night.
What pads did you run? Are you sure the rotors warped and didnt just get uneven pad deposits?

Did you measure the rotors run-out?
