We already have 7 sign-ups and it looks like 3 people are missing co-drivers. The Goekes have not signed up yet, so we've got 12 almost for sure. Who else is coming that is afraid to show their face ?

In an interesting sub-battle, Vincent Wong and James Yom will be fighting for ex-Prelude-autocrosser honors.

I'll be there, as will be Andy Howe (shaggy).

Who's your codriver for San Diego?

For what its worth, I was faster than Steve in his car yesterday, but he was faster than me in mine.

Also, I put in 5 runs in my car to bring my tally in the car up to 14 runs and no *new* spins (still on 4 total). I also logged quite a few more runs in Steve's car without a spin. As I recall, Steve had one spin and one big fat hairy off in my car. Miraculously, he had no such problems in his car.

Steve can describe the terms of the "big fat hairy off" but in my opinion it was entirely driver induced.

The off was definitely driver idiocy-induced. I decided it was a good idea to drag the brakes in a 75 mph slalom, and shortly afterwards, I was treated to a lengthy excursion through hill and vale, during which I observed the passing foliage and enjoyed the sweet-smelling spring air.

Car setup did contribute to the situation, though. The difference between a forgiving car and a bitey one is that the former says "tsk, tsk" when you screw up, while the latter says, "YOU'RE GOING DOWN, SUCKA!!!"

"bitey" ~ That's a good description of the car. Use it in a sentence...

"If I were more talented, the car would be very fast. As it is, the car is too bitey for me."

That wasn't really a jab at Steve. I've done a lot more backwards driving in my car than he has.

So... what did the Chief of Weather order for San Diego? Hoosiers, Kumhos or S03's?
