It was with ncrc

Definitely not 102 or even 98

But guys remember they aren't testing right next to your car, the mic has to be at least 20 ft from edge of the track.

They also don't ding you on your first pass so you need to be a repeat offender

Apparently they also give you one dB of cushion to the limit of the day

Oh yeah also if you are in a pack they can't get an accurate reading.

Just for point of reference. I got my car pass on 92 DB days with modified Berk exhaust. Berk exhaust with resonator and cat. I'm not sure how loud the Magen is, but from what I'm hearing it will pass. The invidia however is not quite at all and will not pass.

Are you going with Speed SF on January 25? I should be there.

Not sure if I can make the 25th but I definitely plan on joining a few SpeedSF events later this year.

Thanks all for the feedback, the mugen exhaust is not that quite without the cat...I will put the cat back on to be safe.

Limerock has a 89db limit.i run a 70mm test pipe to stock exhaust and pass.

I'm kicking myself in the butt for selling my original Mugen exhaust, I'm pretty sure that would pass with a 63mm test, but not certain if it would with a 70mm.

Andrie did you ever try the berk with a larger test pipe?

At some point, probably next year if like to look into something custom thats as quiet as a stock exhaust but much lighter.

I need to correct myself. My system to pass was Berk header, Berk enhaust but I added a resonator, cat, and an elbow at the tip.

I've worked at a couple of events at LSR. Specifically in Black Flag, where we have to pull the driver off the track for whatever problem. If they blow sound, it's our job to bring them in and let them know.

What was said about being in a pack of cars is certainly true. If your car is clearly noisier than most, you'll grab their attention and they'll get you eventually. In your case, i would not worry about that.

FWIW, weather has a significant impact. Those damp, foggy mornings that LSR is known for tend to absorb a lot of sound. Once it clears out later in the day, cars that weren't blowing sound in the morning have been too loud in the afternoon.

If you do blow sound at one of these track days, it sound like you may be lucky enough to get a warning first. In that case, i would just coast by the meter on each lap. Kind of a bummer if you are going for time, but for most it's better than having to call it a day.

I'm at Laguna Seca right now for a 90db track day. Passed with K&N FIPK intake, Berk 63.5mm test pipe, and UK modded stock exhaust.
