Anyone have any evidence where a slightly heavier then stock knob has caused damage? ( i can start a new thread if needed )
The biggest thing to worry about with a heavy knob is mis-shifting. If you "accidentally" slip it into the wrong gear, the car will scream in protest.

And it won't let you go driving for a week

Yo mang...

I duno about the whole heavy shifter being the end of the world kind of thing... I never seen it as a problem before and I kind of like a heavier 'ball' on the end of the NSX's lever -but then again it's a cable-actuated gearbox not direct linkage.

But on a TSX, 911, miata, S2K, M3, I could agree... well i guess i may have answered my own question but their are some cars that would benefit from a heavier knob.

Not that you need more power, but a slightly smaller pulley is the cheapest horsepower modification out there. It doesn't require any change in the engine management, fuel pump, or injectors. It's basically ~30hp for $100-120. Pulley and belt. 20 minutes in the garage.

I switched to a 7psi pulley last year (after 3 years at stock boost) and I kicked myself repeatedly for not doing it earlier.

Nope... Apparently we were not joking about the thing I thought we were joking about. I think.
