Are we watching the same video? That guy was driving like a donkey!

I rest my hand on the shifter just over the straight since I don't need the steering feedback and if you listen between the manson you'll see I still hit the rev limiter in 2nd coming out off 11. The car revs so quick now down there that I have to be quick. Similiar w/ 3rd and 4th I'm just being lazy. I don't actually put any force on the stick.

I'm still getting my bearings w/ the SC so most of that lap I brake too much and too early. Comparing data to the NA :40.0 laps I'm in some places 5mph slower at turn-in/apex. But yes I should be braking much later for 2. I usually have only double apexed it when I'm being defensive.

I agree, on the lap where I had my best time from T2 to T4 was one where I got T3 right.

Inside wheel spin from lifting a rear.

Yup, I agree on rest. Entry to T9 in video isn't typical unless I'm defending which I'm not usually there.

Thanks
Try the diamond-off of T2. I bet with the supercharger it's quicker. A more constant-radius (slightly higher mid-corner speed) might work better with a lower-hp NA car, but with that SC.... its definitely worth a serious try IMO.

T3 is a weird corner. It just never feels *perfect*.

And I'm still not 100% clear on exactly how a donkey drives. I have plenty of experience with monkeys (Evo/STi drivers), gorillas (Vette guys), and sloths (the BMW crowd usually).... but no donkeys?

Cool... My worthless $.02:

- Don't rest your hand on the shift lever; the gearset is designed to have a certain amount of weight on it, i.e. the weight of the shift knob only.... not your hand/arm/shoulder.
Does it mean having a heavier knob is not a good idea?

IMO, yes. Aftermarket knobs should be made to factory weight.

Or lighter if you're looking to save a second or two a lap.

I have a cross drilled shift knob!
