Kumho Ecsta V700 sizes
In looking for my next R-type tires, I seem to remember someone mentioning that the new Ecsta V700s were going to be made available in some pretty good S2000 sizes. (Something like 225/40 245/35 16 - but I can't find the thread.) Does any one know anything about this? Being contrarian I don't want to fork over the cash for short lived Hoosiers, and I'd like to try something other than the Victoracers.
Does anyone have any thoughts or opinions on this? Thanks!

Jeff is right, those are the only sizes they make in 16". Seems nobody cares about us poor folk running 16's.
For my next set of tires I'm thinking of trying shaved 225/50 Ecstas up front and shaved 245/45 Victoracers in the rear...

JZR: hmmm I was thinking of running that setup too. 225 V700s up front and Victo 245s in the rear. I figure the problem with teh V700 is the wear, but since that's not really an issue with the fronts of S2ks, that should be ok. What do you think will be advantages/disadvantages of this setup? We'll be running this setup for autox.

I'm going to try it because it's something different, and because there's lots of Kumho contract drivers in San Diego that like to make fun of me when I change my stuff at the autocross
Actually I'm just sick of hauling 4 wheels and tires in the car, and changing them out. Rather do it at home, once per weekend.
How the Ecsta/V-racer combination will work, who knows? I agree on the longevity issue - what it does with the balance of the car will be a good indicator of the tires' relative grip. Plus the Ecsta is a hair lighter than the Victo.

The main reason I had asked this was that I've heard rumor that Kumho has changed there tire compound to be more competitive with Hoosier; if that's the case I going to stick with the 225/245 Victoracers at the beginning of this season. We'll see how I do.
BTW has any one ever tried the 245/265 combo or is that simply too much tire on our skinny rims? (not that I'd do this, but I'm curious to know if anyone had...)
