Another Data point, though I'm on an AP1:

I can't speak to Kumhos, but I have tried the Hoosier A6 245/245 and 245/275 combos. The 275 in the back was consistently ~1.5 seconds slower on a proper 60 second course. This impact will be different with the AP2 and its much shorter gearing. Jadrice said he liked the 245/245 combo in his AP2 (I believe CR). Other guys have went bigger. It seems a square (same width tire) all around, with a proper FSB seems to be the fastest way to go on the s2000 for Autox. In the northeast surfaces, the 245 loves it. Though in Lincoln there is alot of data to support wide tires as the faster choice.

I'll add my 2 cents... (AP1 experience)

I ran the 245/45/16 v710s for the 2009 season. They felt great for the first 30 runs. After 45 runs, I noticed signs that cording along the edges was going to happen soon, so I had them flipped. They were never the same after flipping them. Some of that could be attributed to the fact that my front subframe kept shifting rearward throughout the season, causing me to lose caster. It would last a couple of events and then I'd have to get it realigned.

Driving style probably has a lot to do with the life expectancy and I always drove my v710s hard.
