Default Humming sound comming form the right wheel well?

Hi All,

I just put a set of new coilovers on my 04 AP2.

I also recently started to use a pair of OEM AP2 V2 17x9 rear wheels on the front. The wheels were bored to fit the hubs.

I now noticed a humming sound from the front end. The sound is loudest when I put my head next to the front right wheel. There seens to be nothing loose that I can see or feel in the wheel well.

Can anyone help me out with this?

Anyone running wheels like this or have any idea what this could be?

Thanks For Your Help

Mark

So I suspect that you hear this sound when the car is turned on and parked?
Just a guess but if the new 17x9 wheel isn't moving when you hear the noise, there is a lesser chance thats the culprit.

be more descriptive though and I would put this in the "under the hood" section

Spray the hornet nest and they will stop humming.

Yes the sound is there when the car in parked and idling.

Seems loudest when I have my head next to the wheel/wheel well on the outside, it's not as loud under the hood.

I have found no evidence of hornet colonization.

Ideas anyone?

Thanks

Thanks guys, you are right.

I have an AEM cold air intake. I took the left front tire off and the sound was comming from the front of the wheel well where the air intake is.

I disconnected the intake at the connector to the 3 ft tube going down and behind the bumper just to confirm. This stopped the sound which could then be heard from the shorter intake tube comming from the throttle body.

What causes this?

Air turbulence?

I was a bit paranoid after installing the coilovers and not noticing this before. It's a relief.

Thanks again for your input and help.
