I would pay good money to see you go out in a Nextel Cup car and try to qualify

You're joking right? Have you seen some of those Nextel Cup guys? They look like they just steped up from the all you can eat pulled pork buffet. I saw one guy in a Gannasi car who was so fat he looked like a caricature. No way he could be called an "athlete".

Warren, if you've ever participated in any form of four-wheeled competition, you should know the folly of assuming that it requires no talent.

Warren, you're just trying to stir things up here, right? You can't really be serious with your statements.

Yeah, I am serious. And I do participate in four-wheeled competition (autox and hopefully soon road racing).

Yesterday, I spent the whole say shooting the import drag race at Englishtown for ESPN 2. While watching it, I thought I could do this, no sweat. Just put your foot to the floor, keep the wheel straight and shift as fast as you can.

I also shoot Nascar stuff for ESPN. Drive in circles all damn day, how freakin' hard can that be??? Hell, you don't even shift once you get up to speed, just keep your foot to the floor and turn left, big deal.

Now road racing on the other hand, that takes skill. Maneuvering through heavy traffic at 150mph, braking from 150 down to 40 mph. You brake, downshift from 6th gear to 5th, 4th, 3rd and 2nd, turn right, then left then right again, then accelerate hard out of the turn and upshift through 3rd 4th, 5th and 6th, as your heart beats faster and faster while you try to pass the driver in front of you without getting passed by the driver behind you, as other drivers try doing the same thing at the same time! Now that my friends is racing!

The odd thing is, I love road racing (F1, Champ Car, ALMS, SCCA, etc.) but all I get calls for is circle tracks and drag racing. Guess I should say I hate road racing and love ovals and drags, and they'd only call me to shoot road racing.

I'm going to go with rlaifatt and assume you're trolling. That would reflect more favorably on you than the alternative, which would be that you're talking s*** about forms of racing that you apparently know very little about.
