Default How Much Race Time Out Of These Tires?

I picked up these tires when i got a new set of rims for my car.

Tires are Mich. Pilot Sport Cups, not sure what they came off of but i'm assuming it was not an "S" since the rears are more worn than the fronts (I usually abuse the fronts more than the rears).

Pics are below, let me know what you think.

I need to get these tires through two days at Pocono's North track (high speed track around five turns in the infield and then onto the "bowl" of the nascar track). Much less intence than AutoX but more time, i'll be doing 4 - 20 minute sessions for two days so total time will be around 2.5 hours.

I also need to get hese tires to and from the track, around 120 miles round trip.

Thanks for the help guys,

Andy

The worst is that you chord and can't continue to play for 2 or 3 sessions. Can still limp home on chorded skins.

I have some experience w those tires on my long gone GT3. They look fine from what i see. Just inspect them often, Those tires work well-- they take a lap or 2-3 to heat up. To me it looks like the fronts are more worn but i may have them mixed up.

Thanks,

they are OE on GT3s and others... i think i'll really dig them.

Yeah you got them mixed up the fronts are in much better shape then the rears and the S doesn't have the power to really abuse the rears that much, i'd be more concerned if the fronts were in worse shape then the rears.

Pocono is not hard on tires, so I cannot see why those would not be fine

The GT3s from factory usually come with Mich Pilot Sport PS2, but the Pilot Sport Cups take a few laps to come in and usually hold up pretty good. you should be able to get at least 2 weekends out of those before the cord. just my op..
