Road Atlanta: 45 minutes

Atlanta Motorsports park: 1.5 hrs

Barber Motorsports Park: 3.25 hrs

Lowes Motorspeedway: 3.25 hrs

High Rock Raceway (not yet built): 3.75 hrs (new track that MAY be under construction in Salisbury, NC)

Carolina Motorsports park: 4 hrs (my second fav.)

Roebling Road Raceway: 4 hrs (my favorite, mostly because there is lots of runoff and has a SUPER long straight into a 180+ degree turn 1-2 complex)

Hutchinson Island Street course: 4 hrs (although this is really only for one or two events per year, and one is a vintage event, so needless to say I'm not allowed, haha!)

Rockingham Speedway: 4.75 hrs

VIR: 5.50 hrs

Daytona: 6.75 hrs

Sebring: 8.5 hrs

Moroso (PBIR): 9 hrs

There are others I'm sure within 10 hrs.

I'm fairly certain that living in the SF bay area is the best location in the country for fantastic tracks <= 150miles away.

For me near Oakland, towing times are:

- 1 hr to Sonoma Raceway (Sears Pt)
- 2 hrs to Laguna Seca
- 2.75 hrs to Thunderhill
- 4 hrs to Buttonwillow (rarely go here - the track is too rough and the tow really sucks)

I live just outside DC, and drive myself to all events.

Summit Point and NJMP are both between 90 minutes and 2 hours. For those I wake up early and go home after each day.

Watkins Glenn, VIR, and Pittsburgh International Race Complex (formerly Beaver Run) are all 4.5 hours away, so I would get a hotel the night before either of those, but I will make the drive home at the end of the day or weekend that night.

When I get back and track next year at Miller Motorsports Park with the Utah NASA region they run Friday-Sunday for HPDE 2 and higher. I would prefer to do a 3 day event, because it is a 4.5 hour drive from Boise, Idaho. My wife and I are from near by Salt Lake City, Utah. So it can help cut costs and time just by staying at our old homes. We also get to visit family at the same time!

Closest is 25 mins. Most accessible, e.g. most track days is 1 hour. The SoCal tracks are 4-5 hours away and Laguna Seca is 7.5 hours.

New Hampshire Motorspeedway 2 hours
Limerock 2.5 hours (never go there anymore)
Monticello 3.5 hours (can't get in there)
Watkins Glen and NJMP 5-6 hours
Tremblant and Summit Point 7-8 hours
Calabogie and Mosport 9 hours
Virginia International Raceway 12 hours

Anyone know how to get some track time at Circuit Gilles Villeneuve? It's only 6 hours from me.

Anything other than NHMS requires an extra day or two off from work for travel. At that point an extra hour or two doesn't matter.
