Based on current residence (SoCal - Los Angeles/Orange County region)

Distance/Time to tracks

Buttonwillow - 165 miles / ~ 2 hours (+/- 15 min)
Chuckwalla - 170 miles / ~ 2 hours (+/- 15 min)
Streets of Willow Springs and WSIR (Big Willow) - 120 miles / 1.5 hours (same location, 2 tracks)
Auto Club Speedway (ACS) - 40 miles / 40-45 minutes

Overnighters
Infineon - 7-8 hour drive (haven't been yet)
Thunder Hill - Same as above??
Laguna Seca - 5 hours (also haven't been)

Spring Mountain Motor Sports Ranch - 250 miles / 4 hours (close to vegas)

That's about it in the area that i'm willing to go to.

I'd love to do some of the other well known tracks, but they're too far for me at this point in my life. On that list are:
-Mid-Ohio
-VIR
-Watkins Glen
-Road Atlanta
-Sebring
-COTA (circuit of the americas - almost forgot this one) - i think this would be the first to happen before any of the others on the "too far list"

About to take a 10 hour drive into Canada to do a 3 day event at Calabogie Raceway. I might go with fellow racers with their tows so it will be 10+ hours plus boarder control.

I've trailered from 2 hours to 18 hours. Gotta do what you gotta do.
Same.

My local tracks are Loudon, NH (2.5 hours), Lime Rock (1hr), Monticello (2 hours.) For autocross, well, I will trailer as far as 26 hours to Lincoln, Nebraska (FML)

Cheers,
Now you're running in F-Mod Ladies?
Jocelin wants that on a future jacket, lol.

Closest for me is 45 minutes, but Mosport GP is also the most expensive one. Its by far my favourite, but $500 for a day on average isnt the most feasible for me.

Next closest is Toronto Motorsports Park at 1.5 hours with no traffic, and where i live, thats never going to happen.

Then Shannonville Motorsports Park is 2 hours, but i have made it a 1.5 hour trip before. Second favourite track but nobody ever wants to go because its so far. Bunch of wussies i say

I've driven over 10hrs to VIR. I didn't mind the drive down (I like to drive). And this is with no radio & SPGs w/ harness. What did concern me was the logistics of a wreck - How am I going to get the car home? I have to get a flight back? I don't have a trailer at the moment, so I tend to stay close to home i.e. NJMP & Limerock 1.5hrs, Watkins Glen 4.5hrs.

Currently <3 hours to multiple tracks with the most common being 1.5-2 hours.

But when I lived on the east coast, used to make an 800+ mile (each way! ) trip to Florida about once a month during the winter. Skip work Friday, drive down, track Sat and Sun, then drive all of Sunday night back and go to work with no sleep on Mon.

Sebring is 2 hours from me. Could do it in a day but its better as a weekend trip.

I guess I cant complain too much:

Willow Springs 1 hour
Auto Club 1 hour
Buttonwillow: 1.5 hours
Chuckwalla 3.5 hours
Laguna Seca 4.5 hours
Spring Mountain 4.5 hours
Infineon raceway 5.5 hours
Thunder Hill 6.5 hours

Anything over 2 hours away I get a hotel room. For Chuckwalla I get a room the night before but drive straight home after a day there, I just cant bring myself to get up at 3am to make it there in time.
