LAKEVILLE, IN (January 5) -- Effective immediately, Hoosier is offering last year's Grand American Cup and Rolex Series tires at discounted prices. We have added the entire 2004 Grand-Am Cup and Rolex Series (SGS class) tire line(s) to our discontinued listing at dramatically reduced prices. In 2005, all new tire designs are being produced for the Grand American Road Racing Series and we need to make room for them. Tires will be sold on a first-come first-served basis until the inventory has been depleted.

Tried these tires at Laguna Seca yesterday. The front 225/45/17 on CE28N is wider than the Toyo RA-1 235/45/17. The 275/40/17 were also wider than the corresponding Toyo tire. The rears rubbed the body in the upper inside wheel well, but it appears only slightly, and more so on the right in the ccw circuit. I wonder if this was contributing to the feeling of more toeout in the right rear according to davepk.
I started out with 31/29.5 f/r cold pressures at 49 deg F. Wear patterns warm/hot and pressures of 35-36 hot made me bleed air until I was getting 'hot' pressures of 34/33 f/r after cool down lap. Tires gripped well and did not feel like on/off switches for grip. I felt very confident on them, and they still show the 'holograph' tread pattern after many very good laps.
Rear N0s were turned down a quarter turn from their setting at Cal Speedway, and this may have contributed to a fairly balanced feel.
The supply of this tire may be going fast, as they seem to be a bargain with a tire that lasts much longer than the R3S03s I tried a few years ago. I gave up on those Hoosiers after one set due to price and tire life, but these GAC tires are great. Glad I bought two sets.
